We are having a retro party soon. I think I've found the ultimate retro car.

Yes, a 1976 Austin Maxi.

This one came with a bonus feature that I only noticed after wandering around the car and commenting on how surprised I was that such a heap of shit was still moving about under it's own power.

Yes, if you look closely, this car comes with it's very own incredibly old lady. I believe they were standard equipment on early R reg models, and came with a cabbage smell emitter and fluff covered slightly soft boiled sweet dispenser.

Yummy....

My dad purchased one of these, and in a strange coincidence I haven't spoken to him since. Not that I'm a car snob or anything....

Right, a rant to start the month I think.

First I would like to comment on this story from the BBC:

Model Katie Price has hit out at the "snobs" who excluded her from a prestigious annual society polo event.

Price, also known as Jordan, says she paid £6,000 for a table at the Cartier International at Windsor, but was told she was not the type they wanted there.

"It's pure snobbery. However good a horsewoman I am, I'm also a  glamour model. That embarrassed them."

Oh bless them all. As I have clearly stated before, we need more snobbery in the world, not less. Snobbery is the cognoscenti's way of keeping out the riff-raff, and I count Jordan (and her third favourite tit and second favourite twat, Peter) as the lowest order of riff-raff imaginable.

So, well done the organisers of the Cartier International. I salute you.
