I've been recently been reading (and audiobooking) H P Lovecraft stories. I first came across him whilst playing "The Hound of Shadow" back on my old Amiga. That was a frustrating experience, mainly due to the rather crappy parser employed by Eldritch games at the time.
I could never complete the game, so I didn't bother reading any of the books either.
Anyway, a few weeks ago, I saw this post on Monkeyfluids (adult material) and thought, what the feck is cthulhu, so I wiki'd it and found it was old H P Lovecraft. So I downloaded 'The Dunwich Horror' and 'The Call of Cthulhu'. Bloody good Gothic horror stuff. Creepy, verbose, written in a way that suggests the Montgomery Burns is involved... Really good stuff. Worth a read.
Anyway, apart from deciding that it really is time for me to find a more 'interesting' way to spend my work days (final straw broke on Friday), I'm having a nice weekend with Mr Alistair, sorting out the garden, pool and fish. Cooking lots of curry, drinking the odd Martini and generally having a bit of a lark. I'm off to cook fish now for the troops (not the one's out of the aquarium, different fish).
The GP isn't being shown live here, but I see that Schumi's in 3rd after 26 laps and looks like he's in good shape.....
Go Schumi!
