I'm officially unemployed. I finished up at Radiation Health yesterday, and I'm quite sad about that.

 I'll miss working there. A lot.

It took me about 1 and a half hours to drive the 16kms home tonight.

"PARTS of Brisbane's main CBD expressway, built by Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen's Government three decades ago, have been closed after a crack in an on-ramp sparked fears it could collapse.

Brisbane traffic was thrown into chaos today after officials found a two-metre-long hairline crack in the Riverside Expressway's Ann Street on-ramp.

Sections of the expressway running along the Brisbane River are expected to remain closed for several days.

Around 150,000 cars use the 33-year-old expressway each work day, making it one of the busiest roads in the country.

Tonight traffic was banked up for kilometres across the city."

Had my interview for the Donkey recepticle job today. Went well. We'll see, if I get it, it means a shed load more money. Wish me lots of luck. Evil Edna is up for it as well.

However, I am glad to report that two dry vodka martinis (shaken, not stirred) have put  me in a brilliant mood, unshaken by the appalling review of the Darkness put about by the Londonist. Did I mention I've drunk beer off of their rider....... I like Justin, he called the Prof a "rock - doc".

So it has been announced that the xbox 360 won't be released in Australia until March 23rd.  I'm thinking, due to the continuing reports from the US that the console just can't be found in stores and they still have a rarity value somewhat above hens teeth (I've just checked e-bay and they are still selling for well above retail), I'm thinking that the March date for us antipodeans will slip.

I also note that Sony have gone very quiet on the PlayStation 3. Turns out no-one has ever seen one running. The demos from last year were done with a network of processors in external housings rather than with a Cell chip, and there have been no mention of the PS3 in any Sony press releases or conference keynotes.

Microsoft have mentioned that the day (make that second) the PS3 is released is when they will launch Halo 3. This will result in me taking a day off work.
