Hmmm. Well thanks to the joys of bit torrent, we've watched the first two episodes, and I must say I like them, probably.
It's not Doctor Who, although it's clearly grounded in the same universe (they refer to the Battle of Canary Warf etc...). It is certainly more adult in tone, but I hope it gets over the initial kid in a candy store approach to it's post-watershed time slot, although.....
The first story was OK for a get to know the characters type thing, and was entertaining enough. The second episode was much, much better. Given time, I'm hopeful that this show will deliver on it's promises. I hope so.
Anyway, compared to the last Doctor Who spin off, K9 and Company, it's a masterpiece.
You can trust me on this.
While we're talking about new stuff. Weird Al has a new album out. It would be interesting to find out how many of the artists Al has covered in the 23 years he's been about are still going or have been nearly as long lived. He's still at the top of his game, easily outshining those more serious parody artists like Mitch Benn, who I like, but Al is the master at this type of thing. Click here to download "Don't Download This Song". The septic is good.
Ah the weekend starts here, the Prof finished work today, and this is likely Alistair's last weekend as an only child.
He has no clue what's going to hit him, and I fear neither have we.
Glad the Hamster's getting better.
