So it's only 8:21am, but already I can see today is going to be a challenge. I'm playing with Ali G on his mat (thanks Kirsty & Dave!), watching the World Poker Tour, when suddenly all of the electricity goes away.
Turns out our dear washing machine has decided that enough is enough, and has gone to silicon heaven. The electricity is back on now but the washing machine is no more, it has ceased to be.
So I'll have to go buy a new one. Great huh?
The Prof is at the Gym as we speak, and Ali G has gone for a snooze, I've taken some great photo's this morning that I will upload to a photo gallery this afternoon. I'll fix the redirect on the old website at the same time so this one doesn't open in a frame.
I'd appreciate it if you could alter your favourites (bookmarks) to this page as I get the feeling Bigpond are about to move the goalposts on us again.
Just to give you an idea as to why I've made the move to typepad, this is just so much easier for me to post. With the old site, I effectively had to hand code the HTML, which was fine on a post to post basis, but a real pain in the hole at month end when I had to rewrite links etc. Plus the FTP side of things was getting to be annoying. As the site got more complex, uploading to the server was going to require me to purchase a proper FTP client, and I'm too cheap to do that!
Bigpond had a space restriction of 10 megabytes, which is stuff all when you want to display photos. Also, I'm hoping to convince the Prof to post here occasionally, and that just wasn't going to happen with the old HTML editor.
I'll be off, but I'll report back later with news on the washing machine.
